Is something missing?

Something is Missing
It is winter time and Canada, And we are reminded almost daily of our great need for sunshine because it is generally missing this time of year. In fact other things that are missing are pretty obvious to me. I know when I can't find my car keys. I know when I've run out of eggs and want to bake a cake. I know when I haven't spent enough time with friends or extended family, the void is obvious in my life. Recently I was reading about Samson when Delilah had cut his hair off and hollered the Philistines are upon you.  Samson got up not realizing that something was missing and I'm not talking about his hair. Samson seems to have lost touch with his God so much that he did not realize his absence when he got up that day. Then I wondered would I realize if God was absent in my life when I woke up in the morning. I like to think I would, but there are admittedly some days when I'm pretty sure I wouldn'tnotice.
So my challenge for me today and every day, is to be very sure I have found that connection with the great God of the universe who lives with me every day.
