I am reminded again from my reading in the scripture that God's intent is blessing. His aim and desire is to bless mankind, the earth, even the animals. In Genesis is says He blessed the animals and told them to multiply and fill the earth. He wanted all that He created to be filled with life, abundance and wholesome pleasure.
When mankind sinned along with the serpent being cursed to breathe in the dust he crawled in, and woman needing to endure pain in child birth the earth was cursed. Man would now toil to yeild a crop from the earth which was once full of abundance and now would be full of thorns. So, blessing and curses reign in the earth. What we see and know is tainted, but not so tainted that the blessing is invisible. It is a marvel to me that the earth is one of the things I look at to see the wonder and glory of God, not His curse. Though I have seen places of the earth that appear to be fruitless, barren and void of blessing there is still wonder, beauty and majesty even in the most fruitless places.
If then a cursed earth still has such a powerful voice in glorifying God, I can't help but wonder what a blessed earth would look like. How much more majestic, how much more fruitful can this earth be? Only God knows.
While I wait for the glorious day when all things are redeemed I will wait in wonder and praise because God is so mighty that He can not hide his creativity even behind a curse. He blesses so thoroughly that even when he then curses, the blessing is still evident.
